  yol.. 403 miles mike, 5 hours, not bad, not bad at all.. thankyou englishman for the tea this afternoon, most pleasurable and do give my kindest regards to george, your pussy.. aye, today, i was up at 0530hrs, 4 hours sleep, 400 mile drive and on the way, popped into see englishman, and, what a lovely fellow he is.

  however, anyone pick on his wife again, an i'm going to boot your friggin ass, so leave off.. here, today i traversed the grand canyon of north somerset, cheddar gorge, scrumpy country.

  blimey, tis ruddy bootiful up his way, didn't know it was like that, so picturesque, very nice indeedy.. anyway, i'm bollockin freakin friggin knackered, so, i'm going to make myself a nice mug of steaming hot tea, smoke spliff and chill for the rest of the evening, not negating a few pints and live music down town in the pub.. til' later, spank your plank an' all that.. celt

  well, this isn't quite a delurk, since i've made several posts already.

  but i figured it was worth introducing myself anyway.. i'm 21 years old, and was raised a dub.

  had very loyal and active dub parents... there was just no question growing up that i was going to pioneer, reach out for privileges, etc.

  do you know whether in the temple arrangement, the anointing oil used contained flower heads from the cannabis plant?

  there appears to be evidence that suggests that the word kineboisin refers to the plant.

  i took euphemism's advice and others to protect my identity.

  about a week ago it was brought to administrations attention that there may be apostates lurking on our board, as a precautionary measure we deleted 107 members who had never posted since they joined.

  It's funny, my wife likes it when I speak French to her. I ve got quite a deep voice and the rolling vowel sounds resonate well. I've got a very pronounced accent, especially when like tonight I have drunk quite a bit. I've had conversations with Londoners who couldn't make out a word I was saying

  this has played a major part in my life and it has been a real struggle to get past.

  I've just spent the last hour reading this thread and I'm impressed you had the strength to come through all you have. Your story mirrors so many stories of kids that grew up in the dubs and struggled with feelings of imperfection and that feeling of shitting yourself every time you do anything seen as wrong because you think that god is going to get you for it. I found the guilt suffocating.

  It really makes my blood boil that people are so judgemental, especially towards gays as it's pretty damn obvious that it's more than just a lifestyle choice. Having said that I used to be one of the many judgemental dubs who thought that gays were all deviants and child molestors who deserved to die of aids. That's a bloody horrible thing to admit now but it was true, and I was convinced that I was right.

  What changed my mind? Dunno to be honest, probably just growing up and realising that most of what the JW's had to say was crap - I started to look at people and judge them for who they are rather than the labels that society sticks on them, realising that who someone sleeps with doesn't define their personality or self worth.

  The bible says that god hates gays, what would you rather, an imaginary friend who makes you feel guilty or a real friend who makes you feel loved?

  Why does the Society "go beyond what is written" re blood?

  this may sound somewhat cynical, but i think the society has held to it's position on blood in order to create a never-ending supply of martyrs.

  martyrs are needed for the society to hold up as shining examples of faith and devotion.

  this sense of self-sacrifice helps them tow the line with regards to all of their insane rules.. wg

  tabarugonzo , every word you have written is rubbish. I give blood (and would take blood if I needed to) and have family working for the Blood Transfusion Service.

  Aids was not widely passed by blood transfusion in the 80's, it was mainly passed by unsafe sex. Today all blood donors are screened for HIV, hepatitus and several other STD's. Your ignorance is exactly the small minded paranoia the witnesses bank on to keep their flock
